Access and inclusion

A person wearing a colorful polka dot shirt and a hat with a wide brim is blowing bubbles with a bubble-blowing toy, amid a crowd.

Lithgow Halloween is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming event for everyone. We recognise that this is a large outdoor event held in a public street environment, which can present accessibility challenges in some areas. We encourage attendees to review the information below and plan their visit in advance.

Event Environment

The event takes place on Main Street and Cook Street Plaza in Lithgow. Some areas may have uneven surfaces, changes in level, crowd density, and limited space for movement at peak times. While we aim to improve accessibility wherever possible, not all areas of the event may be fully accessible.

Toilets

Accessible toilets are available and centrally located within the event zone in Cook Street Plaza. These will be clearly marked on event maps and with signage.

Sensory Considerations

A low‑sensory chill‑out zone will be provided for attendees who may benefit from a quieter, lower‑stimulus space to rest or reset during the event. Location details will be included on the event map and with signage.

Transport & Arrival

Lithgow Train Station is located within the event zone and provides convenient access to the event.
There will be designated drop‑off zones and disabled parking available nearby.

Maps & Information

Event maps will be available online prior to the event and will include:

  • Accessible toilet locations

  • Drop‑off zones

  • Disabled parking locations

  • Key accessibility notes and points of interest

Seating

Plenty of covered seating will be available throughout the event.

Assistance & Feedback

If you have specific access requirements or questions, please contact the event organisers before the event where possible. We welcome feedback and are committed to continually improving accessibility and inclusion at Lithgow Halloween.
